Job summary

Carrerlift seeks an experienced AI Engineer in Abu Dhabi to accelerate Generative AI adoption in the telecom industry. The role requires 4+ years across AI/ML/Data Science and at least 1.5–2+ years of hands-on Generative AI production work, with strong Python skills.

Candidates should be proficient in Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI, familiar with RAG architectures, vector search, embeddings, LangChain or Semantic Kernel, AI agents, Docker, REST APIs and Git, and have MLOps and Azure security

About the role:

• The position is for an experienced AI Engineer working on a project focused on accelerating Generative AI adoption in the telecom industry.
• The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Candidates should have 4+ years of experience across AI, ML or Data Science.
• At least 1.5–2+ years of hands‑on production experience with Generative AI is required.

What we're looking for:

• Strong Python skills are expected.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI is required.
• Candidates should understand RAG architectures and Azure AI Search.
• Experience with vector search and embeddings is relevant to the role.
• Applicants should know LangChain or Semantic Kernel.
• Practical experience with AI agents is expected.
• Docker, REST APIs and Git are also part of the required skill set.
• Familiarity with LLMOps or MLOps practices is required.
• Candidates should understand Azure security and networking concepts.
• English proficiency should be Upper‑Intermediate or higher.

Good to have:

• Experience with AKS, Azure ML, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Document Intelligence or OCR is considered useful.
• Multi‑Agent Systems experience is a plus.
• Previous telecom‑domain experience is also preferred.
• Candidates already based in the UAE and ready to work from Abu Dhabi will receive preference.
