Job summary

Salt in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Technical Product Owner to join an AI-native wealth management and trading platform. This hands-on role sits between product, engineering and technology, owning requirements end-to-end and working with APIs and technical documentation to drive delivery.

You will translate business needs into precise technical specs, design user journeys for real-time and asynchronous states, and prototype mobile apps using real APIs, with strong emphasis on reliability, security

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner / Product Manager in fintech, banking, trading or wealth management.
• Strong B2B or B2B2C product experience.
• Excellent understanding of REST APIs and integrations.
• Experience with FIX protocol or capital markets is highly desirable.
• Track record of shipping integration-heavy, customer-facing products.
• Hands-on experience building or prototyping mobile applications using real APIs.
• Strong understanding of API design, contracts, versioning and error handling.
• Experience with asynchronous and real-time products.
• Demonstrated daily use of AI coding/productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Own product briefs from business problem through to delivery.
• Translate business requirements into clear, technically grounded specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Work directly with REST APIs, integrations and FIX protocol documentation.
• Define API contracts, error handling, versioning and integration requirements.
• Design complete user journeys across success, failure, timeout and asynchronous states.
• Own real-time and async experiences, including notifications and transaction states.
• Define NFRs covering performance, reliability, security and data integrity.
• Build and prototype mobile applications integrating real APIs.
• Use AI tools as part of daily workflow.
• Own backlog, prioritisation, sprint delivery and release health.
• Define telemetry, product metrics and system performance measures.
