Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer – AI Architecture Research in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on researching and building novel neural network architectures beyond traditional Transformers, balancing memory, latency and model performance in production-like settings.

You will design experiments, prototype end-to-end models, and collaborate with inference and systems teams to ensure efficient deployment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in ML and deep learning with model development experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing neural networks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of attention mechanisms, RNNs, state-space models or related approaches.
• Solid knowledge of training dynamics, optimization and scaling behavior.
• Ability to evaluate architectural ideas through theory and experiments.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop novel neural network architectures, including alternatives to Transformers and long-context systems.
• Design and execute architecture-level experiments focusing on scaling laws and compute-performance trade-offs.
• Prototype end-to-end models, translating research concepts into training-ready implementations.
• Analyze model behavior, inductive biases and architectural strengths/limitations.
• Collaborate with inference and systems engineering teams for deployment-ready architectures.
• Read, reproduce, evaluate and extend cutting-edge ML research papers.
• Contribute to internal notes, benchmarks and open-source initiatives where applicable.
• Move between theoretical investigation, rapid experimentation and production-oriented engineering.
