Job summary

ByteDance seeks an internship in the Corporate Information department to help upgrade the procurement system into an AI-native platform. You will work with experienced engineers on cutting-edge AI Agent technologies, contribute to feature design, and gain hands-on experience from day one.

You will explore practical problems in a fast-paced environment, receive mentorship, and have opportunities to learn emerging AI technologies while contributing to real procurement challenges.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronic/Information Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support the construction and exploration of Procurement Agents and the System AI Harness under mentor guidance.
• Develop and maintain services and data flows powering AI-native procurement with emphasis on code quality and reliability.
• Explore AI Agent capabilities such as planning, tool use, memory, and multi-step reasoning and translate ideas into features.
• Build quick prototypes and translate promising ideas into practical product capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to break down problems and deliver complete solutions.
