Job summary

KLIMA GLOBAL GENERAL TRADING LLC is seeking an AHU AutoCAD Draftsman to prepare detailed fabrication, assembly and GA drawings for Air Handling Units using AutoCAD. The role requires converting designs into precise production drawings, coordinating with design and production teams and ensuring adherence to project specs and industry standards.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical drafting background, 2–5 years in HVAC AHU or sheet metal drafting, and proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D).

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Drafting Technology or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC AHU or sheet metal drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D; AutoCAD 3D knowledge is an advantage
• Experience in AHU manufacturing HVAC equipment or sheet metal fabrication preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed AHU fabrication and assembly drawings using AutoCAD
• Develop GA drawings, sectional views and shop drawings
• Create BOM and component schedules from approved designs
• Generate manufacturing drawings for production and assembly teams
• Modify drawings based on revisions and client comments
• Ensure drawing accuracy, dimensions, tolerances, and compliance with specs
• Coordinate with HVAC Design Engineers, Production Engineers and Procurement teams
• Review project requirements and submittals and clarify design details as needed
• Support production and quality departments in resolving drawing issues
• Maintain drawing revision records and document control procedures
• Organize and archive project drawings per company standards
• Develop standard AHU drawing templates and libraries
• Assist in design optimization to improve manufacturability and cost efficiency

Job Summary

The AHU AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed manufacturing fabrication assembly and general arrangement drawings for Air Handling Units AHUs using AutoCAD The role involves converting engineering designs into accurate production drawings coordinating with design and production teams and ensuring compliance with project specifications industry standards and company requirements

Key Responsibilities

Design Drafting

• Prepare detailed AHU fabrication and assembly drawings using AutoCAD
• Develop General Arrangement GA drawings sectional views and shop drawings
• Create detailed drawings for AHU panels frames coils drain pans filters fan sections and access doors
• Prepare bill of materials BOM and component schedules from approved designs
• Generate manufacturing drawings suitable for production and assembly teams
• Modify and update drawings based on engineering revisions and client comments
• Ensure drawing accuracy dimensions tolerances and compliance with project specifications

Coordination

• Coordinate with HVAC Design Engineers Production Engineers and Procurement teams
• Review project requirements technical specifications and approved submittals
• Clarify design details with engineering teams before issuing production drawings
• Support production and quality departments in resolving drawing-related issues

Documentation Control

• Maintain drawing revision records and document control procedures
• Organize and archive project drawings according to company standards
• Ensure all drawings are issued with proper revision status and approval records

Continuous Improvement

• Develop and maintain standard AHU drawing templates and libraries
• Support implementation of drafting standards and best practices
• Assist in design optimization to improve manufacturability and cost efficiency

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Drafting Technology or related field Minimum 2 5 years of experience in HVAC AHU or sheet metal fabrication drafting Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D AutoCAD 3D knowledge is an advantage Experience in AHU manufacturing HVAC equipment or sheet metal fabrication preferred

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Air Handling Unit AHU construction and components Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and specifications Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes Understanding of HVAC standards and industry practices Familiarity with AHRI ASHRAE Eurovent or relevant HVAC standards is preferred Experience preparing fabrication drawings and BOMs Knowledge of DXF generation for CNC punching and laser cutting is an advantage

Software Skills

AutoCAD Mandatory Autodesk Inventor SolidWorks Preferred Microsoft Office SuiteERP MRP software knowledge is an advantage
