Agricultural Commodity Trading Compliance Manager (English, with Arabic or French fluency needed) - Dubai Based

Global agri-food commodities trading business seeks a Commodity Trading Compliance Manager to develop and implement a robust compliance program, ensuring the business adheres to legal and regulatory requirements, as well as advising on compliance related issues in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), based from their HQ in Dubai .

My client is a publicly listed business with an aggressive growth trajectory and strategy of 5x topline revenue. They are building a modern compliance framework from the ground up, with full leadership support. This is a key role and will offer real ownership, visibility to the Board, and the chance to shape group-wide ethics, integrity and compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions.

They have a broad commodity portfolio with a diverse range of products such as barley, corn, cotton, Distiller's Dried Grains, fertilisers, groundnuts, meat, sesame, soya bean, soya bean hulls, soya bean meal, sugar, vegetable oil, wheat and wheat flour. Operating across 65 countries worldwide with a broad sourcing network and a focus on downstream acquisitions in the value chain, they have the aim of becoming the leading vertically integrated agri-food enterprise in the commodity trading sector across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Key skills sought :

  • 5 years+ experience working as a Compliance Manager with significant experience working in Agricultural Commodities (e.g. Grains, Wheat, Corn etc) preferred , however, you could come from a broader commodities compliance background, particularly from trading environments. It is essential that you have a strong understanding of supply chains, international trade and regulatory risk
  • Knowledge of UAE regulations is required , which means most suitable Compliance Managers will already have experience living and working in the UAE, although my client are open to relocators from abroad but only if they have had some tangible exposure to UAE compliance environments in past roles or if they have a perfect Agri-food trading compliance background, speak English and Arabic and keen to relocate to Dubai
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements governing corporate services, including regulations issued by SCA, ADX, ADGM, DIFC and Free Zones
  • Fluency in English is essential , as well as fluency in either Arabic or French . Arabic speaking is preferred due to acquisitions in Arabic speaking jurisdictions but they are open to a strong Commodity Trading Compliance Manager who is fluent in English and French instead
  • Bright degree educated ideally in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related subject

Salary : AED 34,000 PCM (AED 408k per annum) TAX FREE + bonus + benefits + UAE visa sponsoring + relocation (if needed)
