In this role, the right candidate will oversee the management of multiple enterprise-level data projects, navigating a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing both agile and waterfall methodologies.

Description

1. Engage with key stakeholders to define business requirements and ensure project deliverables meet business and technical goals.
2. Manage project timelines, scope, and resources to ensure successful delivery of complex data projects on time and within budget.
3. Oversee project progress and ensure that all deliverables adhere to established quality standards and best practices.
4. Foster a collaborative and transparent project environment, focusing on clear communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
5. Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to ensure that potential disruptions are minimized.
6. Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, promoting a culture of accountability, performance, and innovation.
7. Track and report on key project metrics, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and performance targets.
8. Lead the preparation of detailed project documentation, including business cases, risk assessments, and post-project reviews.
9. Adapt agile and waterfall methodologies to fit the nature of each project, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to changes in project scope or direction.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines).
2. A minimum of 7+ years of experience in managing large-scale data projects, with experience in both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
3. Proven track record in delivering complex data projects in an enterprise-scale environment, particularly with experience managing multiple streams of work.
4. Strong understanding of the project life cycle, from initiation and planning to execution and delivery.
5. Formal project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) and familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
6. Proficient in using project management tools like Jira, Microsoft Project, and Confluence.
7. Experience managing large, diverse teams and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across technology, business, and data teams.
8. Solid understanding of data architecture, analytics, and related technologies.
9. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to drive project success in a fast-paced, complex environment.
10. Demonstrated experience in managing change and transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment between project outcomes and organisational goals.
