Job summary

ADASI in Abu Dhabi seeks a Structural Test Technician to join the UAV Project team. You will help plan and execute structural tests on airframes and UAV components, working with engineers to set up rigs, collect data, and ensure safety and accuracy.

You will calibrate equipment, inspect setups, troubleshoot issues, document results, and support improvements based on test findings. A strong hands-on background in aerospace testing, familiarity with MIL-STD/ASTM and data acquisition tools is

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or 5–7 years in a similar role.
• Hands-on structural testing experience for aerospace/UAV or military systems.
• Proficiency with load cells, strain gauges, vibration tables, and DAQ systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and test plans for setup and execution.
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting test equipment and DAQ.
• Familiarity with aerospace materials and testing standards (MIL-STD/ASTM).

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate test rigs and instruments for structural testing.
• Assist static, dynamic, and fatigue tests to validate UAV components.
• Monitor data collection and ensure sensor and DAQ accuracy.
• Inspect test setups for alignment and safety, perform QA checks.
• Troubleshoot and maintain test equipment during operations.
• Document test results and prepare detailed reports with findings.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve test setups and data quality.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed during high-stress testing.
• Maintain calibration and readiness of all test equipment.
