Job summary

Value Vision in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced turbomachinery design engineer for a permanent, on-site role. You will apply advanced CFD, thermodynamics and multi-disciplinary optimization to gas turbine components, including compressors and turbines, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–15 years in aerospace or mechanical engineering, hands-on experience with axial and centrifugal machines, and proficiency with tools like Ansys Fluent, Concepts NREC, and

Qualifications

• 5–15 years or more of experience in turbomachinery/design
• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong background in gas turbine propulsion, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
• Hands-on experience in axial and centrifugal compressor and turbine design and optimization
• Experience in CFD or related simulation with Ansys Fluent, Numeca or similar
• Experience in multi-point and multi-disciplinary optimization
• Programming experience in C, MATLAB/Simulink or similar

Requirements

• Experience: 5-15 years or more.
• Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering degree or a related field.
• Strong background in gas turbine propulsion, turbomachinery design, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Hands-on experience in axial and centrifugal compressor, turbine design and optimization for gas turbine applications.
• Experience in unsteady modelling, bleed flows, compressor stability, casing treatment and sub-idle modelling will be considered as plus.
• Using commercial turbomachinery tools such as Concepts NREC, AxStream or similar.
• Experience in CFD or through flow simulation methods. Ansys CFX, Numeca/Cadence, Fluent etc.
• Experience in multi-point and multi-disciplinary optimization
• Experience in programming using C, Matlab/Simulink or similar.
• Experience in coatings, and cooling technologies.
• Awareness on the state-of-the-art technologies in materials, heat transfer and structural mechanics to link with aerodynamic design and performance
• Good communication and presentation skills to interact with team members, clients, and vendors.
• Ability to solve problems, prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary
