Advanced Physics Teacher

THE POST: Advanced Physics Teacher (Secondary)

We are seeking to appoint a motivated, highly skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher of Physics (Grades 9-12) who would work alongside, develop and support a multi-cultural staff team in our continued pursuit of excellence. Our focus is purely on your ability as a practitioner so experience of the Common Core Curriculum we follow is not essential.

Qualifications / Person Specification

1. A relevant teaching qualification: PGCE/QTS/Teaching Diploma for the age group you will be teaching, and a degree in Physics;
2. A minimum of 2 years recent teaching experience;
3. An excellent track record in preparing students for external examinations;
4. An excellent understanding of secondary (High School phase) teaching and learning;
5. Experience / Understanding of teaching Physics, particularly for students for whom English is a second language;
6. Excellent communication skills to lead by example, as well as collaborate with leaders, Senior Management and parents;
7. Ability to research new initiatives and implement them whilst evaluating current processes.
