Job Description

As an Admin Coordinator for the Medical Benefits team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Manager relating to the function of medical benefits for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the department.

Responsibilities
  1. Respond and communicate effectively to queries from various internal and external stakeholders regarding the current medical benefits policy. Record and disseminate information to ensure service levels align with published terms, conditions, and contractual procedures.
  2. Administer online databases in accordance with published terms and data privacy regulations.
  3. Obtain prior approval for medical treatments.
  4. Review all medical reports, referrals, and treatment plans to verify coverage as per policy terms and conditions.
  5. Provide accurate approval authorizations and guidance to contracted medical providers.
  6. Communicate with members and providers regarding pre-approval status and terms. Manage emergency telephone approvals and confirm coverage based on medical history, reports, and treatment plans.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant medical field (dentistry, nursing, pharmacy) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in medical insurance, preferably in a dental pre-approval role.
  2. Experience in dental medical field is an advantage.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  4. Excellent written and spoken English skills.
