Acute Medicine Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced Acute Medicine Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide advanced medical care to patients who are in need of immediate and intensive treatment for a wide range of acute medical conditions. As an Acute Medicine Specialist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to patients with acute medical conditions, including but not limited to heart disease, respiratory illness, and neurological disorders.
2. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, pharmacists, and social workers, to deliver coordinated and compassionate care to patients.
4. Perform medical procedures and interventions as necessary, including intubation, central line placement, and lumbar puncture.
5. Monitor and evaluate patients' response to treatment, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
6. Participate in clinical rounds, case conferences, and educational activities to promote continuous learning and professional development.
7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure patient safety and quality of care.

1. Medical degree from an accredited institution.
2. Current state medical license and board certification in Internal Medicine or a related specialty.
3. Fellowship training in Acute Medicine is preferred.
4. Minimum 3 years of experience working in an acute care setting.
5. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
