Job summary

Info Resume Edge is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver advanced nursing care to acutely ill adults. The ACNP will diagnose, manage, and treat patients in high-acuity settings such as ICUs, EDs, and hospitalist services, working with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

The role involves prescribing medications, performing high-skill procedures, and collaborating with nurses, pharmacists, and case managers to optimize outcomes while documenting thoroughly in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Acute Care Nursing.
• Current RN and APRN license; national ACNP certification.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage acute/complex conditions in adults.
• Perform physical exams and interpret tests.
• Develop and coordinate treatment plans with physicians.
• Prescribe medications per regulations.
• Perform procedures (central line placement, intubation, thoracentesis, LP) as privileges allow.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and participate in rounds.
