About the Role
This role involves managing production schedules, monitoring workflow, analyzing production data, and resolving operational bottlenecks. The engineer collaborates with various departments to optimize resources, maintain production quality, and meet delivery commitments while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor detailed production schedules in alignment with demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
- Track daily production progress, identify deviations from the plan, and initiate corrective actions to minimize delays.
- Coordinate with procurement, quality control, maintenance, and logistics to ensure seamless production flow.
- Maintain accurate production data and generate regular reports on productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and recommend process enhancements.
- Facilitate communication between production teams, supervisors, and management regarding production status and challenges.
- Manage resource allocation including manpower, machinery, and materials to optimize production output.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations in all production activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
- Troubleshoot production issues, investigate root causes, and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Assist in capacity planning, forecasting, and workload balancing to meet production targets.
- Prepare and present production performance reports and participate in management meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling techniques, and workflow management
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (Arabic is an added advantage).
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate across team
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is preferred
