Job description

Got a knack for numbers and an eye for detail? We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk who can keep the balances in check, manage guest and group billings seamlessly, and ensure every dirham adds up — all with accuracy and discretion.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  1. Ensure the timely billing of accounts and adherence to the hotel’s credit policy
  2. Maintain a filing system for accounts receivable records
  3. Balance daily transfer to city ledger and post, edit, and update accounts receivable system
  4. Handle correspondence and queries regarding city ledger accounts
  5. Review city ledger daily for correct postings of charges and take corrective action where necessary
  6. Review Daily High Balance Report and handle over-credit accounts with related departments
  7. Reconcile all accounts and maintain the batch register and balance daily to the general ledger
  8. At month-end, write off overdue accounts after department and guaranteed no-show accounts
  9. Prepare and input journals for transfer between debtor accounts
  10. Liaise with guests and relevant personnel (FO Cashier/Reservation Sales Agent) to ensure special account arrangements meet guest requirements
  11. Maintain clear communication with outside companies to ensure timely and accurate supply of goods and services
  12. Coordinate with guests and other departments regarding credit issuance, follow-up on outstanding accounts, and credit requirements
  13. Attend all internal or external meetings to prevent future billing discrepancies
  14. Update collection records with remarks for each call made
  15. Assist with other duties as needed
What We need from you:
  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification
  2. 1-2 years of experience in hotel accounting or a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  3. Professional accounting or finance certification preferred
  4. Good practical, operational, and administrative skills
  5. Outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence and a commitment to our service standards
  6. Team-player mentality and flexible attitude towards diverse tasks
