About Wynn Al Marjan Island

On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offers 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa. It is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the resort’s Accounts Payable team.

The Primary Duties And Responsibilities

1. Process and review all incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
2. Verify vendor account details and reconcile discrepancies.
3. Enter and post invoices into the accounts payable system.
4. Prepare and issue payments to vendors through various methods (cheque, bank transfer, H2H, etc.).
5. Ensure proper documentation for payments, obtaining all necessary approvals before processing.
6. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all invoices are recorded and paid on time.
7. Ensure accurate VAT and RCM bifurcation during the booking of invoices.
8. Maintain and update vendor files and contract information.
9. Assist with audits and filing of VAT return by providing necessary documentation and reports.
10. Ensure VAT is accurately accounted for when booking invoices, and VAT returns are filed correctly and on time.
11. Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
12. Manage and mentor the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
13. Review and approve invoices, ensuring proper coding, authorization, and documentation.
14. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
15. Ensure timely payment of utilities, GPSSA, VAT, tourism tax, municipality tax, corporate tax, and other statutory payments.
16. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general accounting or accounts payable; 2 years in a supervisory role.
17. Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
18. Proven experience in accounts payable or related finance roles.
19. Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
20. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
21. Attention to detail and accuracy.
