Job description

The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. This role supervises the accounting team, manages financial reporting, and supports budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage audit preparations and execution.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with tax regulations, VAT filings, and other statutory obligations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.
• Lead and mentor accounting team members to improve skills and performance.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and monitor variances.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
• Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS), taxation, and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software Epicor or similar ERP systems).
• Advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
