Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts & Finance Officer to manage the company's financial operations and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, proficiency in QuickBooks, and hands-on experience in VAT return and refund processes. This role requires a professional with a solid grasp of accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial MIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Process vendor payments and follow up on receivables
  • Handle expense reports and staff reimbursements
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations (bank, intercompany, etc.)
  • Tax & Compliance
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns and coordinate VAT refund processes
    • Assist with audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory standards
    • Maintain proper filing of financial documents for audit and compliance purposes
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports
    • Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis
    • Support the preparation of financial forecasts and cash flow management
  • Banking & Finance Operations
    • Manage online banking portals for payments, transfers, and reconciliations
    • Handle banking documentation, KYC updates, and relationship management with financial institutions

    Coordinate with auditors, external consultants, and tax advisors as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance roles
    • Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
    • In-depth knowledge of VAT return and refund processes in the UAE
    • Experience in audits, financial reconciliations, and reporting
    • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus
    • Prior experience in a similar industry or SME environment
