What's the role

The Accounting Manager Transactions plays a pivotal role in overseeing the group accounts payable, capital expenditures, G&A costs accounting, and accounts receivable functions within the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented leader to manage a team responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Other responsibilities are to:

  • Lead and guide the accounts payable team to ensure timely processing of invoices and vendor payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Monitor and analyze expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Initiate conversations with project managers in tracking project budgets and expenditures, ensuring that all capital projects are properly documented and accounted for in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure hands-on involvement with project accounting and monthly closing activities.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes including invoicing, collections, and cash application to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding receivables.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and spearhead digitalization initiatives with the department.
  • Develop internal reports and analysis to enable management to understand key events and trends in CAPEX and expenses.

Requirements

Who are we looking for

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA)
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent qualification
  • 8 years experience in accounting transactions and operations with at least 2 in a managerial position
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented and demonstrates a can-do positive attitude
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
  • Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in a multinational company
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 would be a plus
