Job summary

PxGeo is seeking a seasoned Head of Accounting in Dubai to lead day-to-day transactional accounting, including AP, AR, bank/cash, intercompany, and expenses.

You will ensure IFRS compliance, manage month-/quarter-/year-end closings, review journal entries and reconciliations, strengthen controls, oversee treasury operations, and drive process automation in a multinational offshore services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial control frameworks.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day transactional accounting operations (AP, AR, bank/cash, intercompany, and employee expenses).
• Ensure IFRS compliance and company policies are followed in all transactions.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes related to transactional accounting.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial transactions.
• Oversee banking transactions and support cash flow reporting and treasury operations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and increase automation.
