Accounting Associate: UAE VAT & Client Accounts

Job summary

athGADLANG in Dubai seeks a diligent accounting professional to manage day-to-day financial records for multiple clients. You will record transactions, reconcile accounts, prepare VAT files, and assist with year-end schedules for auditors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 1–3 years’ experience, proficiency in Zoho Books, Xero or QuickBooks, strong Excel skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred, ideally with multiple clients.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books, Xero or QuickBooks.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT; basic understanding of UAE Corporate Tax is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations).
• Good written and spoken English; attention to deadlines and detail.

Responsibilities

• Record sales, purchases, expenses and bank transactions in the client’s accounting system.
• Prepare monthly bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations.
• Process supplier bills and customer invoices, and keep AR/AP ledgers up to date.
• Prepare month-end journals, such as accruals, prepayments, depreciation and payroll.
• Prepare UAE VAT working files and help with VAT return filing.
• Assist with Corporate Tax data and year-end schedules for auditors.
• Prepare trial balances and draft management accounts.
• Keep supporting documents organized and answer client queries quickly.
