Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the finance department with day-to-day accounting tasks and administrative duties. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily bookkeeping and data entry in accounting systems (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and expense claims.
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier statements.
  • Assist in preparing VAT filings and other compliance-related documentation (in accordance with UAE regulations).
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and auditors as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience (UAE experience is a plus).
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks).
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
