Charterhouse is currently managing a search for a client in the Business Support Services sector, who is looking to recruit an Accounting & Administration Specialist.
About the role
This role involves overseeing the management and development of all accounting activities, policies, and reporting within the UAE business, supporting the CFO and Regional Controller. The position also manages administrative functions such as business support, documentation, procurement, and cost control/expense reporting. Responsibilities include bank account management, oversight of trade finance parameters, letters of credit, and bond-related payments. The role encompasses finalizing statutory accounting, including consolidations, and reporting P&L positions with variance analysis and management commentary. It also involves VAT and other tax reporting, payroll management, accounts payable, and oversight of accounts receivable and collections.
About you
The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in a similar role focusing on accounting, financial control, and administrative support. Preference will be given to candidates from the professional services industry within the UAE, with knowledge of trade finance and related documentation processing. Candidates should hold a professional accounting or finance degree, demonstrating strong control, governance, and understanding of commercial and business support policies in international markets.
