The Accountant (Temporary – 6 Months) is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions and reconciliations related to escrow accounts, client payments, and project-related financial processes, while supporting broader finance functions and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

The ideal individual will bring solid accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escrow Management:

Perform regular escrow account reconciliations in compliance with RERA and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate and support escrow audits, prepare all necessary documentation and liaise with auditors and authorities.

Upload and manage approvals in the TAS (Trust Account System) as required for project transactions.

  • Client Financial Transactions:

Receive payments from clients and issue provisional receipts accurately and promptly.

Monitor and update payment plans, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and project timelines.

Prepare and regularly follow up on Statements of Account (SOA) to ensure clarity and accuracy for both internal use and client records.

  • Stakeholder Coordination:

Liaise with clients, developers, banks, and internal departments to resolve queries and facilitate smooth transaction processes.

Ensure effective communication and coordination among all parties to support timely financial operations.

  • General Finance Support:

Assist in other accounting duties, reconciliations, and documentation as required.

Undertake any additional tasks assigned by superiors in line with departmental and organizational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate or escrow-related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of escrow regulations, RERA guidelines, and TAS system (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and ERP/accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
