Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in an accounting role.
  • Solid understanding of core accounting principles including AR, AP, accruals, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete AR cycle, including creating customer invoices.
  • Manage the end-to-end AP process by accurately recording vendor bills.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of all bank accounts and cash collections.
  • Post and manage employee expenses and other general office costs.
  • Assist in tracking and recording inventory-related transactions.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with month-end closing procedures.

Skills

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading lighting solutions company based in the UAE. Our client is known for providing high-quality lighting products and is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This role requires hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP and a strong foundation in core accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee the complete AR cycle, including creating customer invoices, recording receipts, and performing reconciliations of customer accounts.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Manage the end‑to‑end AP process by accurately recording vendor bills, processing supplier payments, and reconciling supplier statements.
  • Cash & Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of all bank accounts and cash collections, manage post‑dated cheques, and maintain an accurate daily status of cash, bank, AR, and AP.
  • General Ledger & Expense Management: Post and manage employee expenses, utilities, and other general office costs, ensuring they are correctly allocated in the general ledger.
  • Inventory Accounting Support: Assist in tracking and recording inventory‑related transactions, including goods received, landed costs, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and sample / return tracking.
  • Financial Reporting Support: Assist the Finance Manager with month‑end closing procedures, account reconciliations, and the preparation of basic financial reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of hands‑on experience in an accounting role.
  • Mandatory hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP.
  • Solid understanding of core accounting principles, including AR, AP, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
