Job Opening: Senior Accountant

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations for a fast-paced commodity trading firm using Zoho Books. This role is suitable for candidates with solid accounting fundamentals and financial reporting skills, even without a trading background, provided they can quickly grasp inventory management, margin tracking, and multi-currency transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank statements
2. Manage daily bookkeeping using Zoho Books
3. Track trading transactions, inventory movement, and profit/loss
4. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
5. Prepare financial reports and support external audits
6. Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and regulatory standards

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Proven expertise in Zoho Books
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial statements, and accounting principles
• Familiarity with commodity-related accounting
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
