Accountant

Reports to: Finance Business Partner / Financial Controller

Role Summary

You manage accounting records and financial reporting for a portfolio of clients. Your focus is on compliance, accurate reporting, risk management, and supporting clients' decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Support

  • Deliver accounting services (from bookkeeping to month end entries) within agreed scope and hours.
  • Communicate financial insights to clients and support audit preparation.
  • Report weekly on hours spent, advising your manager when client\'s hours need to be adjusted.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, currency adjustments, and budgeting.
  • Produce and analyse monthly/annual reports and business KPIs.
  • Prepare financial statements, manage risk, and monitor expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance and liaise with auditors as needed.

3. Team Coordination

  • Collaborate with accounting and tax teams as needed.
  • Monitor FTA regulation changes and support tax compliance.
  • Contribute to internal meetings, provide timesheets, and assist colleagues.
  • Guide and coach junior staff where appropriate.
Education & Experience
  • BS in Accounting/Economics; ACCA/CMA/CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years\' accounting experience (incl. 1+ year in the Middle East).
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial regulations.
  • Excellent skills in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting systems.
  • General experience in accounting
  • Excellent knowledge of ZohoBooks
Soft Skills
  • Clear communicator across cultures.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluent in English mandatory.
