Apparel Group Dubai is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to support the company's financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance activities. The role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial statements, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
• Ensure all journal entries, account reconciliations, and reports are accurate and compliant with IFRS, GAAP, or applicable local standards
• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Support the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and error-free reporting
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, comparing actual results against projections and highlighting variances
• Identify cost-saving and process optimization opportunities to support business efficiency
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, internal financial policies, and statutory reporting requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits and provide necessary documentation
• Analyze financial trends, support profitability studies, and provide actionable insights for management decision-making
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and liquidity to support operational and strategic needs
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial processes and reporting accuracy
• Assist in mentoring junior finance team members and contribute to their professional development
• Support ad-hoc financial projects and maintain awareness of emerging accounting trends and best practices

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA, ACCA, or CMA preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the retail or corporate sector
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
