Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
2. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collection.
3. Perform month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
4. Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
5. Stay updated on specific regulations and compliance requirements related to the jewellery industry, including hallmarking standards, import/export regulations, and any local industry-specific guidelines.
6. Manage Customs and Import/Export Duties.
7. Manage documentation and financial implications related to importing/exporting precious metals and gemstones, ensuring compliance with customs duties and regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is essential, with a preference for candidates holding a Master’s degree.
2. Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are highly desirable.
3. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience in a corporate environment is required.
4. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is crucial for efficiency.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis techniques, is necessary.
6. Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail, to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with stakeholders.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines is essential.
9. High level of integrity and ethics in handling confidential financial information is mandatory.
10. Fluency in English is required; additional language skills can be an asset in a multicultural environment.
