The Opportunity
We are seeking a vibrant, dynamic and an out of the box performer to join our Rocktree team as an Accountant to be based in Dubai, UAE.
Your contributions to our joint success
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records in compliance with relevant accounting standards for all assigned entities (e.g. IFRS).
- Prepare and file all required statutory financial reports, tax returns, and regulatory disclosures in a timely manner.
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation.
- Manage cash flow tracking, payment workflows and reporting.
- Support audit processes, including preparation of documentation, responding to inquiries and implementing recommended controls.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare month-end/year-end closing entries.
- Assist with financial analysis and reporting for management decision-making.
Skills which will aid your success
- 3-4 years of professional experience in accounting.
- A bachelor's degree (Accounting or equivalent).
- Meticulous and well organized.
- Team player and willing to adapt to changes for improvement of workflow.
- Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to solve problems independently.
- Demonstrates high ethical standards and commitment to governance principles.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and stakeholder management abilities.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, along with ability to take initiative and prioritize competing deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with various accounting software applications.
- Experience with SAP financial modules is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present financial information clearly to different audiences.
- Develop and maintain financial records and schedules in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Implement and enforce established accounting policies across all financial activities.
- Execute accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Support budget planning, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Perform additional financial tasks and special projects as requested by management.
