Job summary

A GCC retail perfume company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its finance team based in Ajman, UAE. The candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in the retail perfume industry, strong knowledge of GCC VAT regulations, and proficiency in accounting software. Responsibilities include managing accounting transactions across GCC branches, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Excellent communication skills in English are required; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

Job Title: Accountant – Retail Perfume (GCC Focus)

Location: Ajman, UAE

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with strong knowledge of accounting practices in the Gulf region, especially Saudi Arabia, to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must have experience in the retail perfume industry and a solid understanding of GCC VAT regulations, cross-border operations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions across GCC branches, especially Saudi operations.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and reconcile intercompany accounts across UAE, KSA, and other GCC branches.
• Ensure compliance with KSA ZATCA e-invoicing, VAT filing, and relevant tax regulations in the Gulf region.
• Coordinate with auditors and government authorities in UAE and KSA for statutory filings.
• Handle inventory costing, sales reports, and revenue recognition in line with retail standards.
• Maintain accurate records of payments, receivables, and reconciliations with suppliers and distributors.
• Support management with financial analysis and budget planning for Saudi and other GCC operations.
• Use ERP systems to track financial data and reporting (Zoho, SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience in the retail or perfume industry within the GCC, preferably with experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of GCC VAT, ZATCA regulations, and Gulf corporate tax framework.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel between GCC countries if required.

Preferred:

• Experience in a multi-brand perfume or cosmetics company.
• Familiarity with cross-border transactions and retail supply chains.
