About the Role

We are seeking an Odoo Team Lead to oversee the design, development, and implementation of automated financial workflows within Odoo ERP. This role is critical in managing financial transactions, revenue tracking, reconciliation, and integration with other ERP.

As an Odoo Team Lead, you will work closely with finance, operations, and technical teams to automate revenue management processes. You will lead a team of developers, ensuring the system operates efficiently and meets industry-specific financial and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the collection of booking and payment data from external systems.
• Design and implement workflows to track deferred revenue, earned revenue, receivables, vendor payables, commissions, and expenses automatically.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in Odoo's ledger, minimizing manual interventions.
• Map transaction types to appropriate ledger entries, enabling automated categorization, vendor bill validation, bill payment initiation, and reconciliation.
• Configure and optimize Odoo Accounting, Sales Orders, Invoicing, Reconciliation, and Vendor Management modules tailored for transportation and travel financial operations.
• Ensure the ledger records detailed financial transactions and generates accurate summary reports for external Ledger.

Integration & Process Optimization

• Automate data flows from Odoo to External ledger ensuring compliance with agreed format and frequency for financial closeouts.
• Enhance system efficiency by reducing manual processes and improving data validation mechanisms.
• Ensure proper reconciliation between Odoo subledger and External General Ledger at the end of each financial period.
• Optimize Odoo ERP for handling complex financial operations related to ticketing, fare adjustments, loyalty programs, and vendor contracts in the transportation industry.
• Lead and mentor a team of Odoo developers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Work closely with finance and accounting teams to align technical solutions with industry-specific financial reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with operations, IT, and revenue management teams to ensure smooth system integrations and process automation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Odoo ERP development and implementation.
• Expertise in Odoo Accounting, Sales, Invoicing, Reconciliation, and Vendor Management modules.
• Industry experience in transportation is a plus (airline, railway, or related sectors).
• Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, and Odoo ORM / API.
• Hands-on experience integrating Odoo with external financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process automation.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to manage development teams and cross-functional collaboration.
