Job summary

Otis L.L.C in Dubai seeks a Finance professional to manage general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable for the Otis entity. You will maintain payments, vet invoices, and prepare aging reports to ensure timely processing.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting, CMA preferred, and 3+ years in financial accounting. Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plus. Based in Dubai, you will join a global leader in elevators and escalators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• CMA certification or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience across financial accounting functions.
• At least 2 years in positions of progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes monthly general ledger procedures including journal entries, discrepancy resolution and reconciliations.
• Processes monthly accounts payable including journal vouchers and batches for payments.
• Handles monthly accounts receivable including journal vouchers and batches for receivables.
• Receives invoices and performs invoice matching and reconciliation with delivery notes, PO, and invoices.
• Prepares accounts payable cheques and wire transfers with payment vouchers for approval.
• Periodically reconciles with major suppliers/vendors and arranges balance confirmations.
• Validates customer history, credit limits, aging reports and flags late receipts.
• Receives payments and records remittances.

Role Overview

The role holder is responsible for executing the various activities pertaining to general ledger accounts payable accounts receivable activities for Otis - Entity. The role holder is responsible for maintaining the entry of payments vetting and clearing invoices and preparing aging reports on pending dues. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Executes all monthly general ledger procedures including journal entry preparation discrepancy resolution and account analysis and reconciles with sub ledgers.
• Executes for all monthly accounts payable procedures including preparing journal vouchers and batches for entry of payment transactions (payments debit notes credit notes and invoices).
• Executes for all monthly accounts receivables procedures including preparing journal vouchers and batches for entry of receivables transactions (receipts debit notes and credit notes).
• Receives invoices and performs invoice matching and reconciling with delivery notes against invoices and purchase order.
• Prepares accounts payable cheques and wire-transfers with payment vouchers for necessary approval.
• Periodically makes reconciliations with major suppliers/vendors/contractors and arranges for balance confirmations.
• Validates customer history credit ceiling or aging reports and updates the stakeholders on late receipts.
• Receives payments and receipts record them and performs matching and remittance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
• Relevant certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience across financial accounting functions
• At least 2 years in positions of progressively increasing responsibilities
• Fluent written and spoken English essential Arabic preferred
