Job Purpose
The Finance accountant will support cross-functional finance and commercial operations through accurate financial reporting, AR/AP management, inventory reconciliation, and sales analytics. This role plays a key part in driving operational efficiency, supporting audits, and maintaining a healthy cash flow while ensuring accurate revenue recognition and reporting.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Process and verify accounts payable and vendor payments, ensuring SLA compliance and accurate documentation.
- Manage month-end closing activities, GL entries, and reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing VAT and Corporate tax filings, documentations, and supporting external/internal audits.
- Maintain and update petty cash, prepaid expenses, accruals, and COGS/OPEX allocations.
- Support the Finance Manager with financial analysis, ad-hoc reports, and monthly reporting packages.
- Ensure timely revenue recognition and invoice generation across all telco customer accounts, track deliveries, ensure proper documentation and accurate invoicing.
- Maintain revenue recognition trackers, delivery note (DN) logs, and payment schedules.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable, follow-up with customers, support Account Managers on collections, and assist in the write-off of aging receivables.
- Generate and validate sales performance reports (monthly, quarterly, annual), dashboards, and forecasts.
- Support quarterly internal inventory audits and assist with semi-annual physical stock counts at the warehouse.
- Reconcile inventory in virtual warehouse with delivery records and revenue systems.
- Identify and implement automation and process improvement opportunities in invoicing, reporting, and data workflows.
- Support the digitization of manual trackers and templates used across finance and sales operations.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a recognized university.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance operations, or commercial accounting (At least 2 years in the UAE).
- Prior exposure to telecom/technology sector is a plus.
Competency
- Strong command of IFRS and solid knowledge of accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Experience with SAP, CRM systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Professional financial qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CPA, etc.) are a plus.
- Familiarity with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and local compliance regulations is an advantage.
