Job summary

A leading car rental company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the entire accounting of the business unit independently. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of UAE accounting experience, strong communication skills, and a background in small to mid-size organizations. Immediate availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant in UAE.
• Able to manage the entire accounting of the business unit independently.
• Preference for candidates with start-up experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable & Payable function independently.
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly basis.
• Coordinate day-to-day accounting tasks with the business.

Good communication and co-ordination skills

About the Company

Thrifty is the leading brand in the UAE’s car rental and leasing sector with the largest fleet and overt 50+ rental locations. As part of our expansion plans, we are looking for Accountant.

Job Description:

• Manage Accounts Receivable & Payable function independently including handling invoicing and receipts
• Preparation of financial statements on monthly basis including MIS reporting
• Close co-ordination with business for handling day to day accounting tasks on a timely basis
• Able to handle setup/updates in the accounting software with support from IT team
• Any other tasks as required from time to time

Job Role Requirements:

• Able to manage the entire accounting of the business unit on an independent basis
• Good communication and co-ordination skills
• Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in a small to mid-size organization handling end to end accounting and month close activities
• Minimum Experience of 5 years as an Accountant in UAE
• Start-up experience is desired
• Available to join immediately / Max. 1 month notice
