Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our team and take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and financial reporting for several of our clients. You will play a key role in making sure everything is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.

Job Summary

• Managing the full bookkeeping process for multiple clients, ensuring every transaction is recorded properly in the correct ledger heads, and maintaining proper supporting documents for each transaction.
• Generating monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports from accounting software by following the established protocols.
• Handling and maintaining clean and up-to-date accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all balance sheet ledgers are accurate and up to date.
• Reconciling accounts regularly to catch and fix any discrepancies before sending out the accounting reports.
• Assisting with VAT and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) filings; accuracy is key!
• Ensuring clients stay compliant with VAT, CIT, labor laws, and other authorities' requirements while meeting deadlines.
• Communicating with clients directly to understand the financial data, asking questions, giving suggestions, and obtaining the necessary accounting documents on time.

Requirements

• A background in accounting or finance, with at least 2-4 years of hands-on experience (UAE experience is a plus).
• Working knowledge of VAT and CIT regulations.
• Experience using accounting software like MS Dynamics, QuickBooks, and Zoho.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of keeping track of multiple deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence navigating accounting systems.
• A team player with good communication skills and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
