The Accountant in the Accounts Payable (AP) Function plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable process ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with company policies and procedures. This position requires strong technical accounting knowledge attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Senior Accountant will supervise a team of accounts payable clerks coordinate with other departments and ensure proper reporting and reconciliation of accounts payable transactions.
The incumbent is responsible for setting clear objectives and performance targets in collaboration with team members ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals. This role involves actively mentoring guiding and providing direction to the team to cultivate skill development operational efficiency and continuous improvement. The incumbent applies structured performance management practices to monitor progress troubleshoot issues and drive the team towards achieving periodic KPIs.
