Job summary

Naghi Marine Company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its finance team in Jeddah. The role focuses on accounts payable, supplier reconciliations, general-ledger entries, financial recordkeeping, and compliance with Saudi VAT and ZATCA requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred, with SOCPA membership a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with Accounts Payable, supplier invoices and payment processing.
• Knowledge of Saudi VAT and ZATCA requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable transactions, supplier invoices, and payment requests.
• Verify supplier invoices and reconcile vendor statements.
• Resolve payment discrepancies and maintain accurate supplier records.
• Prepare and post general-ledger entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash, expense claims, and supporting financial documentation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Assist with Saudi VAT compliance and ZATCA reporting requirements.
• Support financial reporting while ensuring compliance with internal controls.

• Understanding of accounting standards and internal financial controls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred
• Good written and spoken Arabic and English
• SOCPA membership is preferred
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet reporting deadlines
