Job summary

MyPT is seeking a skilled Accountant in the UAE to manage end-to-end accounting operations, including AP/AR/GL, payroll, VAT, and financial reporting. The role requires 3–5 years of experience, UAE familiarity, and proficiency with Zoho or similar ERP systems.

You will handle month-end closings, bank reconciliations, and prepare schedules for auditors while ensuring accurate revenue recognition for memberships and subscriptions. Strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Experience in a gym, fitness centre, hospitality, or high-volume membership/subscription-based business is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Support month-end closing and preparation of financial statements and management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Apply revenue recognition principles for prepaid memberships, packages, and subscriptions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile reports from membership management system.
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register and subsidiary ledgers for stocks and consumables.
• Process UAE payroll and WPS, including salary reconciliations and WPS file preparation/review.
• Ensure VAT accounting and reconciliations; support VAT returns and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies timely.
• Maintain records using Zoho or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Prepare schedules for internal/external auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Use Excel for analysis and reconciliations (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Communicate effectively with management, staff, auditors, banks, customers, vendors, and external parties.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting operations, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, WPS, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Handle month-end closing and support preparation of financial statements and management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Apply appropriate revenue recognition principles for prepaid memberships, packages, and subscriptions.
