Accountant

An international events organisation working alongside luxury retail brands is seeking an Accountant to join their bespoke and collaborative team, based in Dubai. This is an exceptionally fast paced environment and the successful candidate will need to be proactive, energetic and hard working to ensure that all finance deadlines are met and information is both accurate and up to the minute.

This is an expanding team and initially the role of Accountant will report into the CFO (who is based remotely) and the CEO based in Dubai.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform the full financial cycle from data entry, general ledger, AR and AP, consolidation, expenses, trial, month and year end balances, cash flow analysis and profit and loss reports.
2. Ensure that an external audit is completed on an annual basis and that control of all finances is sufficient and accurate with particular attention to IFRS or GAAP standards.
3. Conduct monthly payroll verifications, ensuring all information is 100% accurate and salary payments are made in a timely manner.
4. Provide regular financial reports to the CEO and CFO and offer commentary on your analysis when required.

Requirements:

1. A minimum of 3 years’ finance experience within the UAE.
2. Exceptional attention to detail.
3. Hold an Accounting or Finance degree; an associated qualification is highly advantageous.
4. Fluent in English.
5. Immediate availability preferred.
