We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to join our team in the shipping / energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and proficiency in using Sage accounting software.

Key Responsibilities :

• Bookkeeping : Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and customized reports to support decision-making.
• Reconciliations : Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Compliance : Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
• Client Communication : Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing their questions and ensuring they feel supported.
• Problem Solving : Identify discrepancies and provide solutions to maintain accurate records.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Sector-Specific Tasks : Track and record expenses related to shipping / energy operations, including fuel, maintenance, and labor costs. Maintain financial records for individual shipments or energy projects.

Qualifications :

• Language : Must be Arabic speaker.
• Experience : Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, preferably in the shipping or energy sector.
• Software Proficiency : Proficient in Sage accounting software. Experience with other accounting software like QuickBooks and Excel is a plus.
• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Skills : Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
