Accountant

Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable.

1. Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
2. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
3. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
4. Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant.
5. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
6. Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
7. Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
8. Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
9. Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
10. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
11. Plan, assign and review staff’s work.
12. Support month-end and year-end close process.
13. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain compliance.
14. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
15. Liaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Awareness of business trends.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end / year-end close process.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA / MBA Finance Preferred.
