The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Account Manager (AM) with a strong background in technology and AI communications secondment with a major client based in Abu Dhabi.In this role you will manage day-to-day account activity and act as a trusted communications advisor on the ground. Youll provide ongoing tactical support to senior client stakeholders and play a central role in executing high-impact campaigns and initiatives that make complex AI and tech topics accessible to a wide range of audiences.
While seconded to the client you will be fully embedded in their team representing Edelman and will have the opportunity to work on high-profile national and international programs.Key Roles and Responsibilities
    • Act as a day-to-day contact for the client on assigned workstreams providing counsel coordination and content support.
    • Support the delivery of strategic communications plans focused on AI digital innovation and emerging technologies.
    • Translate complex technical information into clear compelling content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Lead or support the planning and execution of major events exhibitions campaigns and public engagement activities.
    • Prepare high-quality written materials including talking points briefing documents web and social copy op-eds and media content.
    • Coordinate with creative digital and media colleagues (both in-house and within Edelman) to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
    • Monitor emerging tech trends and support the client with proactive positioning and thought leadership.
    • Liaise regularly with Edelman leadership to align secondment activities with overall account strategy and agency standards.
Skills and Experience
    • 46 years of experience in communications public relations or digital marketingwith a strong focus on technology or AI sectors.
    • Excellent writing editing and verbal communication skills particularly the ability to simplify complex or technical subjects.
    • Experience working with or within high-level clients or government-facing organizations ideally in the GCC region.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven experience supporting or leading high-impact communications activities events or campaigns.
    • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
    • Desirable
    • Background in or familiarity with artificial intelligence digital transformation or emerging technologies.
    • Arabic language skills are a plus.
    • Previous secondment or in-house experience.
    • Experience working in the UAE or GCC region and an understanding of the local cultural and media landscape.
