Account Director I Brand Experiences GCC

We seek an experienced Account Director with a strong focus on project direction and business development within Dubai's fashion and luxury event industry and/or the GCC region. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and will be pivotal in managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and driving agency growth.

Key Responsibilities
Account / Project Direction
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring all phases (planning, execution, monitoring, and closing) are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Client Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, timely issue resolution, and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Resource Management: Collaborate with management and department heads to allocate resources, including creative teams, production, project managers, and external vendors, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets with the Executive Management, regularly monitor costs, and provide financial reporting while balancing quality with cost-effectiveness.
  • Quality Assurance: Through regular reviews and approvals, ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with client expectations.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and issues, implement mitigation strategies, and communicate openly with stakeholders to address challenges promptly.
Business Development
  • Client Retention & Growth: Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships. Understand evolving client needs and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.
  • Agency Representation: Lead initial client meetings to present the agency’s capabilities and relevant credentials. Ensure timely follow-ups after the presentation to nurture potential partnership.
  • Proposal & Pitch Leadership: Lead the preparation and delivery of tailored proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new business and retain existing clients.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging client needs to keep the agency’s offerings strategically positioned.
  • Revenue & Profitability: Set and achieve revenue targets for assigned accounts while contributing to the agency’s overall growth and profitability.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop account growth strategies and ensure alignment with client objectives and the agency’s long-term goals.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fashion and luxury event industry within Dubai and/or the GCC region.
  • Proven track record in project management, client servicing, and business development.
  • Strong budgeting, planning, and resource management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of the region's fashion, luxury, and event landscape.
  • Language Requirements: Italian or French (a plus).
