Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a reputable communications agency or in-house role, focus on technology, AI or innovation-driven industries.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling with ability to translate complex info into clear narratives; AP style.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

The role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and Account Directorto lead the creation and execution of strategic communications within the Abu Dhabi government with experience tellingtechnology and artificial intelligence (AI) stories.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executing communications strategies for tech-driven organizations, coordinating with multi-agency teams, and driving impactful media engagements in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.

This role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of thetech and AI ecosystem, how governmental agencies operate, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure while delivering results in a dynamic, environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Communications Execution:Develop and execute comprehensive communications tailored to thetech and AI sectors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and positioning the company as a leader in innovation.
  


• Tech-Focused Media Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and international tech-focused media outlets to secure strategic coverage and manage media engagements effectively.
  


• Thought Leadership:Position the organization as a thought leader in the AI and tech space by driving the creation of high-quality content, including white papers, opinion pieces, and keynote speeches for industry events.
  


• Agency Coordination:Manage and coordinate with external agencies, including those specializing in tech PR, digital marketing, and branding, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all platforms.
  


• Content Development:Oversee the creation of bilingual (English and Arabic) content for press releases, speeches, presentations, and other communication materials, with a focus on tech and AI advancements.
  


• Brand Management:Ensure the organization’s brand identity reflects its leadership in the tech and AI sectors across all communication channels and campaigns.
  


• Crisis Communication:Lead crisis communication efforts, providing timely and effective responses to protect and enhance the organization’s reputation in the tech industry.
  


• Performance Monitoring:Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement, with a focus on metrics relevant to the tech sector.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience:10+ years of experience in a reputable communications agency or in-house role, with a focus ontechnology, AI, or innovation-driven industries.




• Exceptional writing and storytelling: the ability to quickly develop accurate, compelling first drafts; translate complex information into clear, concise narratives; anticipate what audiences need to know, understand, and do; and adapt content accordingly. Expert command of grammar and AP style.
  




• Language: Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
  




• Tech Sector Knowledge:Strong understanding of thelocal and regional tech and AI landscapes, with established relationships in the industry.
  




• Strategic Thinking:Proven ability to develop and execute effective communications strategies that align with organizational objectives in the tech sector.
  




• Leadership Skills: managing cross-functional collaborations.




• Adaptability:Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
  




• Technical Skills:Proficiency in using communication tools, media monitoring platforms, and project management software. Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and analytics is a plus.
  




• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree or certifications intechnology or AI-related fieldsis a plus.
