Batterjee Medical College – Dubai Branch is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Academic Coordinator to support the smooth operation of academic logistics and processes. This position plays a critical role in coordinating classroom allocations, examinations, and academic equipment, while serving as a liaison between academic and administrative units. The role ensures alignment with UAE higher education standards and supports institutional compliance with KHDA regulations and MOE frameworks.
Manage and assign classroom schedules and academic venues using the Student Information System (SIS), ensuring availability and timetable accuracy.
Coordinate and verify examination schedules, venue readiness, and student logistics in collaboration with academic departments.
Execute exam control room responsibilities, ensuring compliance with institutional and KHDA guidelines on assessment integrity.
Distribute, track, and collect iPads and digital academic devices used during classes and exams.
Coordinate with program heads and student affairs teams to accommodate students with special academic or medical needs.
Operate and troubleshoot exam correction machines and escalate technical issues when necessary.
Oversee and maintain photocopying equipment for academic materials and ensure timely preparation of exams and handouts.
Identify and report technical or facility-related issues in classrooms, ensuring rapid resolution with relevant support teams.
Provide general academic support during high-demand periods such as registration, orientation, and final exams.
proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Prior experience using Student Information Systems (SIS) or LMS (e.g., Blackboard, Moodle) is an asset.
Strong organizational and time management skills; detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
Experience in a higher education setting is preferred, particularly in medical or health science colleges.
Ability to work independently and under pressure, especially during exam periods.
Fluency in English is required; Arabic fluency is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of KHDA regulations, UAE Ministry of Education academic structures, or accreditation standards.
Familiarity with health education environments and student-centered academic support practices.
Collaborative mindset with a service-oriented approach to faculty and student needs.
