As an AC Technician you are responsible to install, service and repair temperature and air quality control systems in staff accommodation and your role will include key responsibilities such as:
Perform preventive maintenance on all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Inspect and monitor performance of refrigeration systems and related components.
Check and maintain door gaskets, latches, and closing systems for walk-in coolers and freezers.
Service and maintain defrosting systems and ice maker automation.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff accommodation.
Clean and maintain fan coil units and air-handling unit filters regularly.
Monitor the performance of air-conditioning and chilled water systems.
Collaborate with engineering colleagues to identify and resolve system failures.
Ensure strict compliance with environmental standards, including prevention of CFC emissions.
Overhaul and conduct major repairs on AC and refrigeration equipment as required.
Check refrigeration and oil levels and carry out corrective measures when necessary.
Coordinate with the Engineering Storekeeper regarding spare parts and purchases.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with technical regulations, safety, and country standards.
Technical diploma or vocational training in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent).
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an AC Technician, preferably in staff accommodation or hospitality.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults.
Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to respond quickly to maintenance requests.
Flexibility to work shifts and attend emergency breakdowns.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
