The ideal candidate has over 2 years of experience in A / V technology, a strong knowledge of digital systems, and excellent communication skills. This role may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Job description

As an A / V Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual equipment for various events and presentations. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring seamless audio-visual experiences for our clients and audiences.

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio, video, and lighting equipment for live events, conferences, and corporate presentations
• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on A / V equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Manage cable installations and connections for various A / V systems
• Operate sound mixing consoles and lighting control systems
• Collaborate with event planners and clients to understand and meet their A / V requirements
• Provide technical support and guidance to presenters and speakers
• Stay updated on the latest A / V technologies and implement new solutions as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory of A / V equipment and supplies
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in A / V operations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in A / V technology and live event production
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various audio and video equipment
• Strong knowledge of digital audio / video systems and presentation software
• Excellent cable management and organization skills
• Experience with sound mixing and lighting control
• Associate's degree in Audio / Video Technology or related field (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
