Aldar Academies are currently seeking an outstanding Primary Class Teacher for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing January 2026.

- Teaching and learning:
- Teach all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum
- Organise the classroom, learning resources and displays to encourage a positive learning environment and support the Mamoura British Academy USP
- Plan, prepare and present lessons to meet the needs of the whole ability range
- Provide support and interventions for students with EAL or additional learning needs
- Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative delivery
- Evidencing children's work and learning in line with the Mamoura British Academy Marking and Feedback policy
- Reflect on lessons and student progress; adjust planning and provision accordingly
- Coordinate with other professionals (e.g., S&L therapists, OTs, educational psychologists) when required
- Embed the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes across the curriculum
- Contribute to school-wide teaching and learning improvements by sharing best practice, participating in CPD and T&L initiatives
- Demonstrate effective use of technology in lessons and ongoing provision
- Assessment and data:
- Be responsible for the attainment and progress of a class to exceed expectations
- Meet requirements for assessment and recording using Learning Ladders
- Use assessment data to inform planning and interventions
- Provide regular feedback to parents and carers at conferences and meetings
- Plan, prepare and contribute to termly Pupil Progress meetings
- Behaviour management and duties:
- Follow the Mamoura British Academy behaviour management policy and promote TRACK Values
- Manage classes effectively, matching approaches to pupil needs
- Maintain positive relationships with pupils and parents; follow procedures to address any rare behavioural concerns
- Be a positive role model and demonstrate the attitudes, values and behaviour expected of pupils
- Carry out playground and other duties punctually, interactively and proactively
- Ensure safeguarding concerns are followed up and logged appropriately
- Wider professional responsibilities:
- Work as part of a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources and events
- Assist with school events, outings and activities (including weekends or evenings as needed)
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers about student achievements and well-being
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
- Run a weekly ECA each term to enhance student provision
- Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor degree in Education or a Bachelor Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum Experience
- Same as above: Bachelor degree in Education or related subject with PGCE or equivalent
- Job Specific Knowledge & Skills
- Teaching across the age-ability range with proven success
- Experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum
