Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead data analysis and reporting efforts that support academic operations, strategic planning, institutional research, market studies, institutional and operational performance management, and process optimization.
• Enable data-driven decision-making and ensure compliance with accreditation and ranking requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications and Education
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field: Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Institutional Research, or related discipline
  • Business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau)

Experience

• 12+ years of experience in data analytics / institutional research, preferably in higher education with a demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and improving processes related to academic operations
• Experience in managing or contributing to large and/or complex datasets, integrating data from multiple sources (e.g. SIS, LMS, ERP, student support systems), and ensuring quality/integrity of that data
• Proven track record in developing dashboards, predictive models, or tools to aid leadership decision-making
• Experience in survey design, administration and analysis, especially with academic surveys (student satisfaction, course evaluation, alumni, employers) and following up on action plans

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), ability to build dashboards, and interactive reports
• Advanced knowledge and skills in the application of Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets

Preferred

• Proficiency in querying and manipulating data: SQL (or similar)
• Understanding of academic operations and higher education processes: course scheduling, accreditation, graduation & retention rates, student lifecycle
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for higher education in the UAE
• Awareness of data governance, metadata, data privacy & protection, ethical use of data
• Familiarity with institutional research best practices: benchmarking to peer institutions, survey methodology, and strategic analytics
